At the construction site of Lot 11 Project Department of China Railway Construction and Bridge Bureau in Yangzhou Section of the North Yangtze River High-speed Railway in Jiangsu Province, large machinery and equipment are under construction in an orderly manner. The construction personnel are scrambling to work in sunny weather and accelerating the construction of large projects such as pile foundation, concrete mixing station and steel processing yard.
In order to show its image and increase production value as soon as possible in the first quarter, the Project Department arranged some personnel to carry out uninterrupted construction on the control node projects such as the Taiping River Bridge during the Spring Festival. After the festival, a large number of construction personnel have also returned to work one after another, and the project has rapidly entered a full-speed progress state.

At 40 meters below the south bank of the Jiangyin section of the Jingjiang Yangtze River Tunnel in Jiangyin, Jiangsu Province, China Railway 14th Bureau, the machines were also roaring and the transport vehicles were shuttling back and forth. The builders were busy working. At present, 87.2% of the construction progress of the right line tunnel has been completed. The project department has deeply studied and summarized the control mechanism and measures of ground settlement, reasonably controlled the construction parameters and grouting pressure, and laid a solid foundation for the next tunnel penetration, and made every effort to achieve the node goal.

The reporter learned that the list of major projects in Jiangsu Province in 2023 will include 220 projects to be implemented and 45 projects to be reserved, with an annual investment of 567 billion yuan. It includes 180 industrial projects, 5 innovation carrier projects, 6 livelihood security projects, 7 ecological and environmental protection projects, and 22 infrastructure projects.
According to statistics, there are 43 projects in Nanjing included in the list of major projects in the province this year, ranking the first in the province. The annual planned investment is 44.3 billion yuan, including 34 implementation projects and 9 reserve projects. Among the implemented projects, there are 23 innovation carriers and industrial projects, mainly including a batch of projects such as Nanjing Shihe Gene Phase II, Nanjing Beiye Superalloy, Nanjing Scientific Research Base of the Chinese Academy of Electrical Sciences, covering the fields of new generation information technology, high-end equipment, biotechnology and new medicine, new materials, new energy vehicles, scientific and technological information services; There are 11 livelihood security and infrastructure projects, mainly involving the construction and improvement of colleges and universities, river-crossing channels, railways, rail transit and other fields.
Suzhou has 41 projects listed in the list of major projects of the province in 2023, ranking the second in the province in terms of quantity, including 35 implemented projects, with an annual planned investment of 38.7 billion yuan; There are 6 reserve projects with a total planned investment of 16.6 billion yuan. Changzhou and Nantong ranked third in the number of major projects, with 34 projects included in the list of major projects of the province in 2023, including 30 implemented projects in Changzhou and 4 reserved projects, 28 implemented projects in Nantong and 6 reserved projects.
He Yu, director of the Common Prosperity Research Center of the Regional Modernization Research Institute of the Jiangsu Academy of Social Sciences, said in an interview with a reporter from CCTV that major project investment is not only an important measure to stabilize growth, but also a key grip for structural adjustment.
